Functional Testing and Non-Functional Testing in software testing

Functional Testing :

                                             It is a part of system testing , In functional testing test engineer will concentrate on the functionality of the application with respect to the customer/client requirements


Test engineers will use following black box testing - techniques to test the functionality of the application.


1. Boundary value analysis (BVA)
2. Equivalence class partitioning (BCP)
3. Decision table
4. Error Guessing


Non-Functional Testing :  


                                     In non-functional testing test-engineers will concentrate on compatibility, performance,security of the application.
